It is amazing just how one long avenue can offer so many great spots and hangouts. Rothschild Boulevard is just full of charming and unique sitting areas. So, after you’re done settling in the hotel and enjoyed all of Rothschild 22’s facilities go out and discover the top 5 locations on the boulevard.
1. Habima Square
Located on the northern side of the boulevard, the famous and vast square won’t disappoint you. The colorful garden in the heart of the busy urban junction is just so inviting. There are wooden benches all around the place, where you can sit after or during your visit there. You can take a look at Menashe Kadishman’s Uprise sculpture, get a fruit shake or just enjoy the flora. The square is big, so even on a busy day you can find a quiet spot and just sit there.
2. Pétanque Courts
While strolling through the boulevard, you may notice four empty gravel courts on its north-central part. If you are really lucky you might walk by just in the time to watch people play Pétanque. Pétanque is a French game of basically tossing steel balls, you probably already seen people playing it in Europe. Watching this game is surprisingly relaxing, feel free to cheer!
Let the steel balls roll!
3. Street Library
Would you like to spend the afternoon with a good book in your hands? Rothschild Boulevard has just the thing for you. On the northern side of the boulevard you can find a street library. The street library is a stand with a wide selection of books as well as chairs and benches next to it. All you have to do is pick a book and enjoy your reading!
Don’t forget to put the book back on the shelf after you’re done!
4. Hammocks
Our favorite chill-out spot on the boulevard has a relaxing tropical atmosphere. Walking up and down the boulevard can become a bit tiring, and the hammocks provide the perfect opportunity to stop for a bit and just start swinging. The hammocks are located on the northern side of the boulevard and the place is shaded, of course.
All we want now is coconut juice…
5. Monument for Tel Aviv city Founders
Usually monuments have rather sad associations, but the one located in front of Dizengoff House a.k.a. Independence Hall, is just a lovely place. The monument includes a large fountain, and there’s nothing more relaxing than the sound of the water. Benches are scattered around the monument, so you can take the time to sit and enjoy the boulevard’s atmosphere.
Enjoying the water trickle sound while walking.
Rothschild Boulevard is full with other cool sitting areas. Benches, small lawns, playgrounds, game tables and picnic tables are scattered all over it. You can always find a place to sit and enjoy some silence in the middle of busy and crowded Tel Aviv.
Tired of sitting? Get on a bicycle… or a horse.
The perfect Tel Aviv vacation at the very heart of Rothschild Boulevard
